Cricket betting at okzz apps — place bets on BPL through T20 World Cup and every format
okzz apps brings cricket fans in Bangladesh a wide range of betting options, from match winner to over-by-over live markets. On any device, at any time.
T20, ODI and Test — a different experience in each format
The three cricket formats affect betting markets in different ways. Understanding how odds work in each format makes placing your bets a much more informed experience.
T20 — fast and unpredictable
With the result decided in just 20 overs, odds in T20 can shift ball by ball. BPL and IPL are the biggest platforms for this format. Every Bangladesh Tigers match at the T20 World Cup generates enormous interest across the country — fans in Dhaka and everywhere else stay up through the night to follow the game.
ODI — balance and strategy
A 50-over match tells two separate stories across two innings. After the first innings score is set, odds can swing significantly in the second innings. In international series, the ODI format offers the most market variety in betting.
Test — patience and depth
In a five-day Test, a third result — "draw" — is also possible, so the market works with three outcomes. Pitch report, weather and batting lineup matter most here. Bangladesh's matches in the ICC World Test Championship consistently see strong competition across markets.
BPL, IPL and the stage of international cricket
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is the most anticipated tournament of the year. The combination of local franchises and overseas stars creates real energy in the betting market. Odds are set fresh for each match, and as team form changes, the markets stay just as active.
Interest from Bangladeshi fans in the IPL grows every year. Watching the best Indian teams compete and betting alongside it is a different kind of experience. On the international stage, the T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments generate the biggest markets.
At okzz apps, you can also bet on football and other sports alongside cricket. Visit the okzz apps Bet sports section for more details.
Football and other sports betting
Football is growing in popularity in Bangladesh, and okzz apps offers football betting from European leagues to international tournaments. Football betting is a little different from cricket — because a draw is possible, the match winner market has three selections (team A wins, draw, team B wins), whereas limited-overs cricket has no draw.
Tennis, badminton and kabaddi are among the other sports also included. Each sport has its own market structure, odds format and betting options. Just as cricket has toss markets and top batsman markets, football has goalscorer and half-time result markets.
For something different outside of cricket, crash bonus games are also a popular option — they offer a completely different experience from sports betting.
6 popular betting markets
Each market has its own characteristics. For newcomers, starting with match winner is the easiest entry point, and from there other markets can be explored gradually.
Match Winner
You just pick which team will win the match. Example: choose team A or team B as the winner and place your bet. In limited overs there is no draw, so there are only two possibilities.
Toss Winner
This market is simply about who wins the toss before the match begins. Both teams have an equal chance, so the odds are often very close. The result is known very quickly.
Top Batsman
You pick which batter will score the most runs for a given team. Decisions in this market are usually guided by current form and pitch conditions.
Total Runs Over/Under
The question here is whether the total runs in a match will be above or below a set number. Example: will total runs in the match be more or less than 320 — you pick one side.
Multi Bet
Multiple selections are combined into a single bet. Three selections at odds of 1.40, 1.80 and 1.90 give combined odds of 4.79 — a ৳100 bet returns ৳479, but only if every selection is correct. One wrong selection and the entire bet is lost.
First Innings Score
This market is about predicting how many runs will be scored in the first innings. It is more common in ODI and Test matches, because the first innings total has a big influence on how the rest of the match plays out.
Decimal, fractional and American odds
The same team's odds can be written in three formats — the numbers look different but the meaning is the same. The examples below make it easy to compare.
Example 1 — Team A wins (underdog)
A ৳200 bet at decimal odds of 2.25 means a return of ৳450 — of which ৳250 is profit and ৳200 is the original stake returned. Fractional 5/4 means ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked. American +125 means ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet. If the bet loses, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B wins (favourite)
Decimal 1.80 means a ৳200 bet returns ৳360 — profit of ৳160. American -125 means you need to stake ৳125 to win ৳100 in profit — a minus sign always indicates the favourite.
Simple rules for reading odds
- Decimal: multiply your stake by the odds to get the total return.
- Fractional: the right number is the stake, the left number is the profit — 5/4 means stake 4 to profit 5.
- American +: shows how much profit you make on a ৳100 bet.
- American −: shows how much you need to stake to make ৳100 in profit.
- Decimal below 1.0: this is not possible — decimal odds are always above 1.
Live betting — odds change with every wicket and over
Live or in-play betting is the ability to place bets while a match is in progress. In cricket this is particularly significant, because a single wicket can change the entire picture of a match.
Say a team reaches 80 runs without losing a wicket in the first 10 overs — their odds of winning will shorten because they are becoming the favourite. But if two wickets fall suddenly in the 11th over, the odds will swing back the other way.
In-play markets can also include smaller bets such as the score at the end of the powerplay, the number of runs in the next over, or which ball the next wicket will fall on. Live betting calls for quick decisions, since odds are updated every moment.
Useful tips for cricket betting
- Understand the format: odds in T20, ODI and Test work in completely different ways. A strategy that works in one format may not work in another.
- Set a budget: decide in advance how much you will spend each day or each week. Enjoy betting as entertainment and do not put pressure on yourself.
- Start with one market: beginners are better off sticking to the match winner market at first. It is straightforward and results come quickly.
- Be careful with multi bets: the returns may be higher, but one wrong selection in a multi bet loses everything. Learn gradually rather than adding too many selections at once.
- No rushing in live betting: odds in in-play markets change fast, but make each decision with a clear head rather than betting on impulse.
- Look at history, not predictions: base your bets on the team's recent form, pitch conditions and lineup — no result is ever certain.
- Betting is entertainment: enjoying the experience matters more than winning. Think of betting as entertainment, not a source of income.
- Responsible gaming rules: if needed, read the responsible gaming guide — you will find advice on setting limits and taking breaks.
